    What we aim for

We want everyone to be able to find a treatment, check its price and book it on this site. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We don't yet meet all of it, and this statement is our own assessment of the site.

    What we have done

    • A “Skip to content” link at the start of every page, and the same header, main content and footer on each page, so a screen reader can move between them.
    • A visible outline on every link, button, menu and form field when you move through a page with a keyboard.
    • Buttons, menus and booking links at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap. Some small text links, inside sentences, tables and the footer, may be smaller.
    • Text alternatives on photos that show something, describing what is in them.
    • No sound that plays by itself. The head spa film is silent, starts only when you press play, and has a written description and transcript.
    • Questions and answers always open on the page, never hidden behind an accordion.
    • Prices and times in real tables and lists, with headings in order, so a screen reader can move through them.
    • Every treatment's length written in minutes beside its time bar, so a screen reader reads it out rather than skipping a drawing.
    • Text colours chosen to contrast with the background by at least 4.5 to 1.
    • Visible labels on every form field. On the contact form, a missing or mistyped answer is explained under its own field, and the form says in words when it sends or fails.

What we know is not right yet

    • Haku Ranelagh

Haku Ranelagh is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs, with no step-free entrance. If stairs are difficult, call us before you book and we'll talk it through.

    • Haku Blackrock

The entrance to Haku Blackrock has steps, with no step-free way in. If steps are difficult, call us before you book and we'll talk it through.

    • Booking and gift voucher pages

A Book button opens our booking page, and the gift voucher button opens our voucher shop. Both are run by Phorest, a separate company, and we can't change how they work. If either gets in your way, call or email and we'll book for you.

    • Older pages

A few older pages, such as the treatment consultation, have not been rebuilt yet and have not been checked to this standard.

Help booking, or to tell us about a problem

Call or email either salon and a person will book for you. If something on this site doesn't work for you, tell us the page and what happened.
