Facial redness: treatments at Haku, Dublin
What can help facial redness?
At Haku, the options for redness are IPL (full face €220) at Haku Ranelagh, pulses of light aimed at redness and broken capillaries near the surface, and two gentler facials at both salons: the Comfort Zone Customised Facial (€119) and the PDRN Bio-Meso Facial (€200). Results vary, and persistent redness is worth showing your GP first.

Downtime
- IPL:
- Skin is usually mildly pink for a few hours. Wear SPF 50 every day for two weeks.
- PDRN Bio-Meso Facial:
- Some mild redness is possible for a few hours. Wear SPF 50 for the week after.
Is IPL suitable for me?
IPL isn't suitable on skin tanned in the last four weeks, on darker skin (Fitzpatrick types V and VI), with light-sensitising medication such as isotretinoin (Roaccutane) or doxycycline, or over moles and tattoos. We check your suitability before your first session.

When to see your GP
See your GP before booking with us if the redness:
- is new, spreading or painful
- comes with swelling, heat or a fever
- keeps flaring with spots, stinging or burning
Persistent facial redness can be rosacea, which your GP can diagnose and treat. We don't diagnose skin conditions.
