What collagen induction therapy actually means
Microneedling creates thousands of microscopic channels in the upper layers of the skin. Your body reads these as small injuries and responds by producing fresh collagen and elastin, the structural proteins that give skin its firmness and bounce. Over the following weeks, the skin rebuilds itself more densely and evenly. The result is smoother texture, softer fine lines, and visibly refined scarring.
Recommended course
For visible change to acne scarring, fine lines, or texture, we recommend a course of three to six sessions spaced four weeks apart. A single session gives a fresh, plumper appearance, but collagen remodelling is a cumulative process, results continue to build for up to three months after your final session.
Downtime & aftercare
Expect mild redness similar to light sunburn for 24–48 hours, with possible flaking on day three. SPF 50 is essential for two weeks post-treatment. Most clients return to work the following day.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
- Best for: acne scarring, fine lines, enlarged pores, dull or uneven texture, early signs of ageing
- Not suitable if: you have active acne or infection in the treatment area, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are on isotretinoin (Roaccutane), or have a history of keloid scarring

Most clients describe microneedling as a mild prickling sensation rather than painful. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to keep things comfortable. After numbing, the device feels like a gentle vibration across the skin.
How many microneedling sessions do I need?
