PCA Skin, Professional Peels
Professional chemical peels
Professional chemical peels targeting aging, discolouration, breakouts, and sensitive skin for smoother, clearer results.
About PCA Skin
PCA Skin was founded in 1990 and is used by dermatologists and licensed clinicians worldwide. Their peels are blended with calming and brightening agents alongside the resurfacing acids, which is what keeps downtime low without compromising results. They are still relatively uncommon in Ireland.
Which peel suits which skin
- PCA Peel (€129), the entry-point peel. Best for first-time peel clients, congested or oily skin, mild breakouts, and uneven tone. Minimal flaking, light flaking possible for 2–3 days.
- PCA Sensi Peel (€150), formulated for sensitive, reactive, or rosacea-prone skin. Calms inflammation while refining tone and texture. The gentlest option, with little to no visible peeling.
- PCA Ultra Peel (€150), the most advanced option. Best for hyperpigmentation, melasma, fine lines, and ageing skin. Expect light to moderate flaking for 3–5 days.
Downtime by peel
Peeling is mild and powdery rather than dramatic, PCA peels are designed to deliver results without the heavy shedding associated with older-generation peels. Expect skin to feel tight on day one, with light flaking visible from day two to day five depending on the peel chosen. SPF 50 daily is non-negotiable for two weeks afterwards.
Your first peel
Every first peel begins with a short consultation so we can assess your skin, confirm the right formulation, and prepare you with realistic expectations and an aftercare plan. Booking your first peel automatically includes this consultation at no extra cost.

Frequently asked
Which PCA peel is right for my skin?
The standard PCA Peel is the entry-point option, best for first-time peel clients, congested or oily skin, mild breakouts, and uneven tone. The Sensi Peel is formulated for sensitive, reactive, or rosacea-prone skin. The Ultra Peel is the most advanced option, best for hyperpigmentation, melasma, fine lines, and ageing skin. We'll confirm the right peel for your concerns at your first consultation.
How often can I get a chemical peel?
PCA peels can be repeated every four weeks. For visible change to pigmentation, ageing, or acne, we recommend a course of four to six peels, with maintenance every two to three months afterwards.
What is the downtime after a PCA peel?
PCA peels are designed to deliver results without dramatic shedding. Expect skin to feel tight on day one, with light powdery flaking visible from day two to day five depending on the peel chosen. The Sensi Peel typically has little to no visible peeling; the Ultra Peel has the most. SPF 50 daily is essential for two weeks afterwards.
Can I get a chemical peel if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, the PCA Sensi Peel is specifically formulated for sensitive, reactive, and rosacea-prone skin. It calms inflammation while refining tone and texture, with little to no visible peeling. We'll always patch test and assess your skin at consultation before treatment.
What is the difference between PCA Peel and Ultra Peel?
The standard PCA Peel uses a gentler blend of alpha and beta hydroxy acids, ideal for first-time clients, congestion, and mild breakouts. The PCA Ultra Peel is more advanced, combining lactic and trichloroacetic acids for deeper resurfacing, better suited to hyperpigmentation, melasma, fine lines, and visible signs of ageing. Expect more flaking with the Ultra Peel and stronger results.
