    What to expect

    How it works
Nordlys Frax is a non-ablative fractional laser: it doesn't remove the surface of the skin. It works in tiny columns through the upper layers, leaving the skin around them untouched.
    Afterwards
Expect redness like a strong sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, then fine, dry peeling and bronzing for three to five days. Wear SPF 50 every day for four weeks. Plan around it: this is not a lunchtime treatment.
    Who it isn't for
Nordlys Frax isn't suitable with active acne or infection in the area, on isotretinoin (Roaccutane) now or in the last six months, on very dark skin (Fitzpatrick types V and VI), with a history of keloid scarring, or on recently tanned skin. We always see your skin before a Nordlys Frax course.

Results vary from person to person.

    Questions

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your skin, and results vary. Your therapist suggests a plan once they've seen your skin; sessions are usually about six weeks apart.

Is Nordlys Frax at Haku Blackrock?

No. Nordlys Frax is at Haku Ranelagh only.

Do I need a patch test?

Some treatments need one first, so ask us before you book. A patch test at Haku is free and takes five minutes in the salon. If there is no reaction after 24 hours, you're clear for the treatment: book it at the desk during the test, or online from 24 hours after.

    How does the deposit work?

A 50% deposit secures your booking: €190 for a €380 full-face Nordlys Frax. You can change it free up to 24 hours before, and the balance is paid in the salon.
